    Terms & Conditions

    Version 1.0Operated by ChopEazy FoodsEffective: 4 July 2026Last updated: 7 July 2026

    Welcome to ChopEazy. Here is the deal, plainly: these Terms are the agreement between you and us whenever you recharge, buy Chops, or use our website. We have written the important parts in everyday language so nothing is hidden, but this is still a binding legal agreement. Please read it before you recharge. If anything is unclear, message us before you pay, and we will explain it.

    01

    Agreement & Acceptance

    In plain terms

    You are only bound once you actively agree, not by just visiting the site.

    By ticking the “I have read and agree to the Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy” box, recharging, buying Chops, or otherwise using the ChopEazy service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference. If you do not agree, do not recharge or use the service.

    You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter a contract under Nigerian law. By agreeing, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate. We record the date, time, and version of the Terms you accept as evidence of your agreement.

    02

    Who We Are

    “ChopEazy”, “we”, “us”, and “our” mean ChopEazy Foods, with its principal place of business at Benin City, Edo State, together with its proprietor(s), owners, employees, and authorised agents. “You” and “your” mean the customer or website user. References to ChopEazy in the liability, indemnity, and other protective clauses of these Terms extend to and may be enforced by the proprietor(s) personally.

    03

    The Service

    In plain terms

    We are a Chops-based weekly meal service. You recharge to buy Chops, then spend them on meals.

    ChopEazy offers a food service under which you may:

    • Learn about our menu, meal packages, Chops, and delivery days;
    • Create and hold a customer account;
    • Recharge to buy Chops at the published rate;
    • Choose a meal from our published monthly menu and pick the package that fits your appetite, paying with your Chops;
    • View your Chops balance, expiry dates, order history, and recharge history;
    • Manage basic account actions such as recharges, package choices, and approved Chops transfers; and
    • Submit reviews, ratings, suggestions, and feedback about your experience.

    Menus, meal packages, delivery days, delivery zones, prices, recharge levels, and Chops values are set out on the website and may change from time to time as described in these Terms. We deliver only within the zones we publish as active at the time of your order.

    04

    Your Account

    You are responsible for keeping your account details and login secure, and for all activity under your account. Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised use. You agree to provide accurate delivery and contact information; we are not responsible for failed deliveries caused by incorrect or outdated details you supplied. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these Terms.

    05

    Chops, What They Are

    In plain terms

    Chops are prepaid meal credits. They are for food, not cash. You cannot cash them out.

    • Chops are bought in advance by recharging at the published rate (currently ₦1,000 = 1 Chop) and are prepaid meal credits. They are not money, a cash balance, a wallet, an investment, or general stored value. Recharging in larger levels gives you more Chops per Naira.
    • Chops may be spent only on ChopEazy meals and approved add-ons within the ChopEazy system. They cannot be withdrawn as cash, exchanged for cash, or spent outside ChopEazy.
    • You may transfer unused Chops to friends or family only through ChopEazy's official transfer process, using their Chops ID or email, so that balances are properly recorded and updated and fraud is prevented. Transfers made outside that process are not recognised.
    • Chops expire 60 days from the date they are credited to your balance. We show the expiry period when you recharge, include it in your balance updates, and remind you before your Chops expire. Expired Chops are not refundable or recoverable.
    06

    Orders & Order-Lock

    In plain terms

    Once your order locks, we start buying and cooking, so that part cannot be undone.

    Each month we publish a menu with a meal for each week, for Tuesday and for Sunday delivery, and each meal comes in packages that cost a set number of Chops. When you spend Chops on a package for a specific weekly (Tuesday) or Sunday meal, that order is confirmed at the order-lock deadline shown for that week on the menu. After the order-lock deadline passes, procurement and production begin and that order can no longer be changed or cancelled by you. Orders for a week that has already locked roll to the next available delivery cycle.

    07

    Payment, Billing & Official Channels

    In plain terms

    Only ever pay through the official options on our site. If it is not listed there, do not pay through it.

    • You may pay only through the official payment options made available on the ChopEazy website or an official ChopEazy checkout page at the time of payment. These options may change from time to time based on operational needs, processor availability, transaction costs, and customer safety.
    • We do not accept cash on delivery.
    • We are not responsible for any payment made through any account, link, phone number, agent, social media handle, or channel that is not officially listed on the ChopEazy website or official checkout page. If it is not listed there, do not pay through it.
    • Payments are processed by third-party payment providers subject to their own terms. All prices are in Nigerian Naira (₦) and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
    08

    Refunds & Cancellations

    In plain terms

    Unused Chops can come back to you. Locked orders cannot. And if we get it wrong, we always make it right.

    • Unused and unexpired Chops are refundable on request, either back through the original payment route where possible, or as ChopEazy credit, depending on the situation and your preference.
    • Once Chops have been spent on a specific order and the order-lock deadline has passed, that portion is non-refundable, because procurement and production have already begun.
    • Expired Chops are not refundable.

    If we fall short, we fix it. If ChopEazy fails to deliver, delivers the wrong item, or there is a verified quality or food-safety issue, you are entitled to a replacement, credit, or refund. This remedy is never removed by any other part of these Terms. To claim, contact us within 24 hours of delivery with your order details and, where relevant, a photo, so we can verify and resolve it quickly.

    09

    Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

    Our refund policy does not override your right to dispute a payment with your bank or payment provider. If you file a chargeback, your payment provider's dispute process applies, and we will respond through that process. To resolve issues quickly and fairly, we keep clear records of each transaction, including your payment receipt, recharge level, Chops balance and expiry, order-lock timestamp, delivery confirmation, and our communication trail. Filing a chargeback for a valid, delivered order (rather than contacting us first) may result in suspension of your account pending resolution.

    10

    Acceptable Use & Zero-Tolerance Prohibitions

    In plain terms

    Use ChopEazy honestly and respectfully. These behaviours get you removed.

    You agree that you will not:

    • Scrape, crawl, harvest, copy, or systematically extract any part of the site, menus, pricing, or content by automated or manual means;
    • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems, accounts, or data, or interfere with, disrupt, or overload the service;
    • Use the service fraudulently, including chargeback abuse, payment fraud, or creating accounts to exploit promotions, referrals, or Chops transfers;
    • Resell, commercialise, or redistribute ChopEazy meals, Chops, or services without our written permission;
    • Impersonate ChopEazy or any person, or collect payments while pretending to represent us;
    • Harass, threaten, abuse, or defame our staff, riders, or other customers;
    • Submit false, misleading, unlawful, or infringing content; or
    • Use the service for any unlawful purpose or in breach of these Terms.

    We may suspend or terminate access immediately, without refund of order-locked amounts, for any breach of this section.

    11

    Reviews, Feedback & Your Content

    In plain terms

    When you send us a review or tag us, you let us share it. That is the extent of it.

    ChopEazy's website is not a public forum, community wall, or social platform. The only content you may submit to us is reviews, ratings, testimonials, feedback, support messages, photos you voluntarily send us, and social media posts in which you tag us and permit reuse (“Your Content”).

    You keep ownership of Your Content. By submitting it, you grant ChopEazy a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, reproduce, display, adapt, and publish Your Content for marketing, promotional, and service-improvement purposes, across our website and official channels, with attribution by first name or handle where reasonable. You confirm that Your Content is truthful, is your own, and does not infringe anyone's rights. We may remove any content that is false, unlawful, offensive, or infringing, and this licence survives removal only for copies already lawfully published. You may ask us to stop using a specific testimonial going forward at any time.

    12

    Our Intellectual Property

    All content on the ChopEazy website and service, including the ChopEazy name, logo, brand, menus, recipes, designs, packaging, text, images, software, and code, is owned by or licensed to ChopEazy Foods and is protected by intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to use the service for its intended purpose only. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from our materials without our prior written permission. The “ChopEazy” name and logo may not be used without authorisation. A trademark application for the brand is or will be filed with the Nigerian Trademarks Registry.

    13

    Third-Party Links & Services

    The service may rely on or link to third parties (for example, payment processors and delivery partners). We do not control and are not responsible for their content, availability, acts, or omissions, and your dealings with them are subject to their own terms. Links from our site do not imply our endorsement.

    14

    Food Safety & Your Responsibilities on Delivery

    In plain terms

    We deliver it fresh and safe. Once it is with you, please store and reheat it properly.

    We prepare food under proper hygiene and cold-chain practices and deliver it fresh. Once a meal is delivered, you are responsible for storing, refrigerating, reheating, and consuming it in line with the instructions on the packaging (including the consumption window, currently best consumed within the stated period and refrigerated promptly). If you have allergies or dietary restrictions, you are responsible for checking menu and ingredient information and contacting us before ordering; we cannot guarantee the absence of allergens or cross-contact. Nothing in this section limits your rights or our obligations for food that was unsafe or defective at the time of delivery.

    15

    Disclaimer of Warranties

    The website and online service are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the website will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of delays, or that any defect will be corrected. We are not liable for the acts, omissions, content, or availability of third-party links or services. This disclaimer applies to the website and technical service only, and does not affect the food-quality, food-safety, or consumer rights described in these Terms or guaranteed by Nigerian law.

    16

    Limitation of Liability

    In plain terms

    Our liability is capped, except for the serious things the law says we can never cap.

    To the fullest extent permitted by Nigerian law, ChopEazy will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses, or for loss of profit, data, goodwill, or opportunity. Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the total amount you actually paid to ChopEazy in the 12 months immediately before the event giving rise to the claim.

    What we can never limit. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for: (a) death or personal injury caused by our negligence or by unsafe or defective food; (b) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or (c) any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under Nigerian law, including your rights under the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act 2018. These protections always remain fully available to you.

    17

    Indemnification

    You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless ChopEazy Foods and its proprietor(s), employees, and agents from and against any claims, losses, liabilities, and reasonable costs (including legal fees) arising from: your breach of these Terms; your misuse of the service; Your Content; or your violation of any law or third-party right. This obligation is limited to matters caused by your own acts, default, or breach.

    18

    Data Protection & Privacy

    We handle your personal data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect, why, and your rights. By using the service you consent to that handling. The Privacy Policy forms part of these Terms.

    19

    Resolving Disputes

    In plain terms

    If something goes wrong, we talk first, mediate if needed, and only then escalate. No ambush.

    We want to resolve any issue fairly. Disputes follow these steps in order:

    1. 1.Talk to us first. Contact us and give us a genuine chance to resolve the matter within 30 days. Most issues end here.
    2. 2.Mediation. If we cannot resolve it, either party may refer the dispute to mediation in Benin City, Edo State, under the Arbitration and Mediation Act 2023.
    3. 3.Arbitration or court. If mediation fails, the dispute may be referred to arbitration by a sole arbitrator in Benin City under the Arbitration and Mediation Act 2023 (proceedings in English), or, where appropriate, to the competent courts of Edo State.

    These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Nothing here prevents you from exercising any non-waivable consumer right or from making a complaint to the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission or another regulator.

    20

    Changes to These Terms

    We may update these Terms as our service grows. If we make a material change, we will give reasonable advance notice (for example, by email, WhatsApp, or a notice on the website) before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms. The “Last updated” date above always shows the current version.

    21

    Referral Program

    In plain terms

    Share your code. When a friend makes their first recharge, you earn 10% of the Chops they buy.

    Every ChopEazy account comes with a unique referral code, which is also your Chops ID for receiving transfers. You may share it with genuine new customers who might want to use ChopEazy. Participating in the referral program does not make you an employee, agent, or partner of ChopEazy, and ChopEazy staff, riders, contractors, vendors, and close operational partners may be excluded from earning bonuses unless approved in writing.

    • How you earn. When a new customer signs up with your code and makes their first successful recharge, you earn a referral bonus of 10% of the paid Chops they buy on that first recharge, rounded down to the nearest whole Chop. It is calculated on that paid recharge only, and does not count any free, promo, bonus, or goodwill Chops.
    • Use the code at signup. The referred customer must enter your code when they create their account. A code cannot be applied after a customer has already made their first recharge, except where we confirm a clear technical error.
    • Once per customer. You earn only once per referred customer, on their first recharge only. Later recharges by the same customer do not earn another bonus.
    • Credited automatically. The bonus is credited automatically in Chops once the referred customer's first recharge is confirmed, subject to fraud and abuse checks. It is not cash and has no cash value outside ChopEazy.
    • Bonus Chops behave like normal Chops. They can be spent on meals, transferred through the official process, and they expire 60 days after they are credited.
    • If the first recharge is reversed. If the referred customer's first recharge is later refunded, reversed, cancelled, charged back, or found to be fraudulent, the related bonus may be cancelled or removed. If you have already spent bonus Chops that are later reversed, we may recover the equivalent value from your current or future balance.
    • Genuine referrals only. Referrals between family, flatmates, or people at the same address are welcome, as long as they are different people with their own accounts and real recharges, and we may review them before crediting. Self-referrals, fake or duplicate accounts, refund tricks, code farming, spam, and any attempt to game the program are not allowed. We may review any referral, pause or withhold credits, and cancel, remove, or claw back bonuses and suspend accounts where we find abuse or that multiple accounts are controlled by the same person.
    • We may change the program. We may change, pause, or end the referral program, or adjust the bonus rate and limits, at any time. Where a change is material we will give reasonable notice, and the change will not affect valid bonuses already earned.
    22
